AllBlack Bobal

This is the first wine in the ALLBLACK range, within the unique series of wines dedicated to the great red and autochthonous grapes varieties of our country.

After discovering some exceptional Bobal vineyards very close to Utiel and checking that their potential fit with the philosophy of our project, we got down to work to organize everything and be able to make our first elaboration.

An elegant, long and intense wine, full of nuances and with a long life ahead. A great wine with notes of ripe fruit and a perfectly assembled wood.

The image of our ALLBLACK – Bobal is a painting by the Dutch painter Anthony Oberman (1781-1845) entitled: << Adriaan van der Hoop´s Trotter “De Vlugge” in a Meadow >> and it is in the most important art museum of Netherlands, the Rijkmuseum in Amsterdam.

It represents a horse “The Fast One”, in a meadow on the estate of Adriaan Van der Hoop (1778-1854), near Haarlem, with the Saint Bavo´s cathedral in the background. The painting is in the English style and the horse is painted in profile framed in a sober composition

Adriaan van der Hoop was a rich banker and an art collector who owned racehorses and, like members of the aristocracy at the time, liked to photograph his winner horses. Adriaan Van der Hoop, upon his death, bequeathed a large part of his collection to the city of Amsterdam and for this reason, we can enjoy his paintings.

The choice of this great painting for our ALLBLACK – Bobal, is in keeping with the spirit and style of our wine. Our emblem throughout our brand is a purebred black horse, with which we make a simile with a great vineyard. If we feed a good horse, take care of it and tame it carefully, we will have a great horse. In the same way, if we cultivate a great vineyard very carefully and we elaborate its grapes in a very respectful way, we will obtain a great wine.

The choice of this painting in particular and not another, was simply because it made us fall in love at first sight, due to its sober, elegant appearance, without great decorations, like our ALLBLACK – Bobal. They transmit great strength, elegance and purity. Both, wine and painting, painting and wine, are pure art for your fill enjoyment.
